Federal Holidays — Full Company Closure

On the federal holidays listed below, all Kids on the Yard operations are closed. This includes offices, HR, Accounting, the Care Team, and all educational services. No sessions are conducted on these dates.

Jewish Religious Holidays — HR and Accounting Closed

On the Jewish religious holidays listed below, Kids on the Yard observes the following operational scope under our equal-application policy:

  • HR is closed
  • Accounting is closed
  • The Care Team operates with limited support only — expect delayed responses to non-urgent inquiries
  • Educators may continue to operate sessions at their own discretion. Kids on the Yard does not require educators to observe these holidays. Educators who do not observe (or who choose to work) are free to continue scheduled sessions.

If you are a parent or student, check directly with your individual educator for session availability on these dates. If your educator chooses not to operate, the standard rescheduling rule applies (see Operating Notes below).

Operating Notes

  • Federal holidays: Full company closure. No services of any kind. Offices, HR, Accounting, Care Team, and educational services are all unavailable.
  • Jewish religious holidays: HR closed. Accounting closed. Care Team operates with limited support only. Educators may continue to operate at their discretion; check with your individual educator for session availability.
  • Automated services such as Subscriptions, Invoicing, Charging, and Wallet Reloading process as usual. However, transaction dates may show a different effective date.
  • If your session falls on a federal holiday, or on a Jewish holiday on which your educator chooses not to operate, our systems or the Care Team will offer a different session date. If the session is not executed as planned, your wallet credit and pooled hours will remain for future use.

Religious Accommodation

The Jewish religious holidays listed above are observed at the company level for HR and Accounting only. Kids on the Yard respects employees of all religions and faith traditions. Any employee, regardless of religion, may request reasonable accommodation to observe their own religious holidays (Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Bahá'í, Indigenous, or any other sincerely held religious observance) under applicable federal, state, and local law. Our company operates nationwide. Local office time hours may change based on Time Zone. The company operational office time zone is Eastern Time.
