Candidate Referral Program Terms
Effective October 14, 2026. Version: candidate-referral-2026-10-14-v1. These terms govern personal candidate referral offers that expressly identify this version. A reward exists only when an invitation states an exact amount and qualifying milestone. Save the invitation and these terms for your records.
The permanent copy of this revision remains available after this page is updated for future offers.
Who may participate
This program is for an eligible individual who personally recommends a Kids on the Yard career opportunity to someone they know. It is not an agency placement, affiliate, lead-generation or commercial sourcing program. Recruiting agencies, staffing firms, affiliate marketers and anyone acting on behalf of such a business are not eligible unless Limitless Virtue LLC dba Kids on the Yard separately agrees in writing. Paid advertising, bulk posting, purchased contact lists and automated distribution do not qualify.
For the initial program, a referrer must be an adult U.S. person who is legally able to participate and receive a reward. Kids on the Yard employees, recruiters, hiring decision makers, and anyone whose duties include sourcing candidates are not eligible for a paid reward under this program. An employee referral program, if offered later, requires separate written rules. The opportunity offer may add narrower eligibility conditions. A referrer must not refer themself.
How to make a referral
Use the referral link issued for the specific opportunity. Share it directly with a person who may be interested, and tell them that you may qualify for a reward if the program conditions are met. Ask that person to apply or contact Kids on the Yard themselves. Do not provide their personal contact information without their permission, send unsolicited bulk messages, imply that you represent Kids on the Yard, or promise a job, assignment or rate.
The applicant must use the valid link for that opportunity while the opportunity is open and before entering its recruiting process. If the invitation specifies an earlier deadline, that deadline also applies. Kids on the Yard records a referral claim when the applicant submits an application with the valid link. Possession of a link, a click, an application or a hire alone does not establish eligibility or a right to payment.
Which claim is considered
If several people refer the same applicant for the same opportunity, only the first valid referral recorded in the Kids on the Yard application system is considered. The claim record's timestamp determines that order; a link click, forwarded message or later competing application does not replace the first recorded claim. A valid earlier referral stays first even if its referrer later fails a payment condition, including the lifetime reward limit. In that case no later referrer inherits the reward for that applicant and opportunity. Recruiting will retain the claim and decision history, review a disputed timestamp or identity match, and correct a documented system or fraud error rather than silently reassigning credit.
Self-referrals, duplicate applications or referrals that cannot be verified are ineligible. A candidate already in a documented recruiting process for the same opportunity is ineligible for a new referral claim. The applicant remains free to apply without using a referral link. A recorded claim identifies the first referrer for review; it does not promise approval or payment.
Reward and qualifying milestone
An opportunity may have no referral reward. When Kids on the Yard offers a reward under this version, its minimum is $50 USD; the exact reward may be higher for a particular opportunity and must be stated in that invitation or offer before the referrer shares it. The invitation must also state the qualifying work milestone and this policy's version. The milestone varies by opportunity. Session-based, hourly, salaried and other roles may use different verified milestones; no universal three-session rule applies. The base amount in this policy does not create a reward for an opportunity that has no explicit reward offer.
The referred person must satisfy the opportunity's ordinary hiring requirements. Kids on the Yard must verify the referral, hiring outcome and stated milestone from its records. Referral approval and payment are separate decisions. A milestone that is cancelled, refunded or reversed before reward approval does not qualify. Recruiting may review a verified milestone for 30 days before approval; the invitation may specify a longer review window before it is sent. Payment timing after approval is described below. The maximum referral reward for a valid claim is the exact USD amount stated in that person's original offer; another opportunity's higher reward does not increase it. This reward limit does not purport to restrict remedies that cannot lawfully be waived. Reward eligibility remains tied to the policy and offer version shown when the invitation was sent; a later policy or offer change does not silently reduce an existing valid claim.
Policy changes and payment method
Kids on the Yard may publish a new version for future referral offers. Each version must show its effective date, and the invitation and claim record must identify the version and exact reward amount in force for that offer. Earlier versions must remain available for claims governed by them. A new version does not retroactively lower a previously offered reward or change an already satisfied milestone, except where required by applicable law or to address fraud under the terms accepted for that offer.
Approved rewards are paid in USD. Subject to recipient eligibility and the payment service's availability, finance may offer an ACH credit (direct deposit), PayPal, Zelle, or another approved method available when payment is due. No particular method is guaranteed for every recipient. Finance will verify the recipient and provide a secure way to submit tax and payment details; bank account numbers and taxpayer identifiers must not be sent through a referral link, application, email or text. Finance will disclose any recipient-facing fee or timing difference before a method is selected and offer a reasonable alternative if a method is unavailable or a transfer fails. Payment is ordinarily made within 30 days after finance approval and receipt of required information. Any exception will be documented and communicated to the payee.
Lifetime limit
No more than three paid Candidate Referral Program rewards may be made to the same individual over their lifetime, across opportunities, accounts and email addresses. A claim that would exceed the limit is not eligible for payment, even if the referred person is hired or completes the milestone. The limit applies to the actual recipient of the reward, not separately to each link or account. Kids on the Yard may require identity and payment information needed to apply the limit consistently. A claim pending review does not reserve a reward; an approved but unpaid reward reserves a slot so simultaneous claims cannot exceed the limit. If that approval is reversed before payment, its slot is released. A paid reward remains counted even if the referrer later returns it, subject to correction of an erroneous identity record.
Review and disputes
Recruiting may request information reasonably needed to verify a personal referral, an applicant's permission, a competing claim or a suspected commercial referral. The reviewer must record the decision and reason in the referral audit trail. A referrer may request review of a denial within 30 days after notice by replying to the invitation or using the contact page. Kids on the Yard will provide a written response within 30 days. Payment is not automatic during a disputed review.
No payment is automatic. An authorized reviewer must confirm eligibility and the qualifying milestone before finance authorizes payment. A U.S. payee may be asked to complete IRS Form W-9 through a secure finance process before a reward is paid. A W-9 is provided to the requester, not sent by the referrer to the IRS. Finance determines the correct tax reporting and payment treatment for the actual payee; no specific tax form is promised in the invitation. Kids on the Yard may decline a claim involving fraud, misrepresentation, unauthorized use of someone else's information or prohibited promotion, subject to applicable law and the approved offer terms.
Dispute resolution
The parties should first use the internal review process above for a referral reward dispute. Any agreement to binding arbitration must be presented separately and accepted affirmatively before it applies; merely receiving an invitation or viewing this page does not constitute such acceptance. The Affiliate Program arbitration clause does not govern this separate program. The exact amount in the original offer caps the program reward for that claim, not remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
Relationship to other terms
This candidate program is separate from the Affiliate Program, which concerns commercial referrals. The Website Terms of Use, Anti-Spam Policy and Privacy Policy also apply to use of the website and communications. Participation is not an offer of employment or a guarantee that anyone will be hired, assigned or paid for services.
